Perceptions of internally displaced persons: northern Iraq
Survey and focus group discussion report
More than 300 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Iraq spoke with Ground Truth Solutions researchers in the urban areas of Erbil and Dohuk, as well as in Khazer, Hajj Ali, and Al Salamiyah camps. They said that they have trouble getting jobs in the local economy and that they need cash assistance and compensation for homes that they lost. IDPs generally do not feel that circumstances are improving for people in Iraq.
